Birthday Bash

A birthday works best when the room is doing something together rather than drifting into separate conversations. These games put one screen in the middle - a TV, a laptop, a propped-up phone - and turn everyone's own phone into their controller, so a room of any age is playing within a minute of arriving.

Birthday party games everyone plays from their phone

Nothing gets installed. The host opens a game, a QR code appears on the big screen, and guests point their camera at it. Guests who arrive late scan and join a round already in progress, and a phone that locks or drops comes back to the same seat with its score intact.

Several games here are built around the birthday person specifically: the room answers questions about them, and the results say who actually knows them best. Others are straight party games that happen to suit a birthday crowd.

Common questions

Do we need an app to play these birthday games?
No. The host opens a game on any screen and everyone else scans a QR code with their phone camera. It all runs in the browser that is already on the phone — nothing to install, and no account to create.
What do we need to host birthday party games?
One screen everyone can see — a TV, a laptop, or even a propped-up phone — and a phone each for the players. That is the whole setup.
Can we play these over Zoom or a video call?
Yes. Share the board screen on the call and every player still joins from their own phone, wherever they are.
Is it free?
Hosting is free for small groups. Larger rooms, and hosting without the watermark, need a Pro plan or a one-off day, weekend or event pass.
What happens if someone's phone drops out?
They rejoin the same seat with their score intact. Rounds also run on timers, so one missing player never stalls the game for everyone else.
