Cheers to another year together
Anniversary
An anniversary is either two people, or two people and everyone who was at the wedding. These games work at both sizes.
Anniversary games for a couple and their friends
The questions tend toward how well the couple know each other and how well everyone else knows them, which makes for a scoreboard people genuinely want to see.
Everyone plays from their own phone with nothing installed, and the board goes on whatever screen is in the room.
Common questions
- Do we need an app to play these anniversary games?
- No. The host opens a game on any screen and everyone else scans a QR code with their phone camera. It all runs in the browser that is already on the phone — nothing to install, and no account to create.
- What do we need to host anniversary party games?
- One screen everyone can see — a TV, a laptop, or even a propped-up phone — and a phone each for the players. That is the whole setup.
- Can we play these over Zoom or a video call?
- Yes. Share the board screen on the call and every player still joins from their own phone, wherever they are.
- Is it free?
- Hosting is free for small groups. Larger rooms, and hosting without the watermark, need a Pro plan or a one-off day, weekend or event pass.
- What happens if someone's phone drops out?
- They rejoin the same seat with their score intact. Rounds also run on timers, so one missing player never stalls the game for everyone else.
