About Read My Mind
Read My Mind is a knowing-each-other contest for as many pairs as you can fit in a room. Everyone joins on their own phone, picks the person they came with, and then every pair plays the same four rounds at the same time: predicting each other, digging up a shared memory, finishing each other's sentences, and answering blind to see if you match.
Each pair is scored on its own and the room races on a live scoreboard, so you can watch the gap open up. The end screen crowns a winner and gives every pair a sync score out of a hundred, plus a name for the kind of pair they turned out to be.
Your answers only ever appear on your own two phones. The big screen shows the question, who is ready, and the score - never what anybody wrote, which is what makes the reveal worth waiting for.
It works with a room full of pairs and it works with exactly one, where it simply becomes a run through the same four rounds for the two of you. Two to sixteen players, nine to seventeen minutes depending on the pace the host picks, nothing to install.
How a room starts
- Pick a game from the catalog — every occasion has its own room.
- Put the game's board screen where everyone can see it: a TV, a laptop, or a shared screen on a video call.
- Players scan the QR code (or type the room code) in their phone's browser. No app, no account.
- Play — everyone answers, votes, and scores from their own phone.
How to play Read My Mind
A short narrated walkthrough of the whole game, from joining on your phone to the final scores: watch the how-to video. It is one tap from inside the room too, so a first-time group never needs the rules explained.
Where Read My Mind fits
You will find it in the Valentine's Day room, the Date Night room, the Anniversary room and the Couples Showdown room, alongside the other games picked for that occasion.
Common questions
- How many people can play?
- Up to sixteen, so as many as eight pairs. It also works with just two people, which becomes a run through the rounds for the pair of you.
- Do we have to be a couple?
- No. Players pair up in the lobby, so friends, siblings or colleagues can play as a pair. The rounds are about how well the two of you predict each other, not about romance.
- How long does it take?
- Nine to seventeen minutes for all four rounds, depending on the pace the host picks on the setup screen - Quick, Moderate or Slow, which sets every clock in the game. Switching rounds off before the start makes it shorter still.
- Does everyone see our answers?
- No. Answers appear only on the two phones of the pair they came from. The shared screen shows the question and the scoreboard.
- What do we get at the end?
- A winning pair, and a sync score out of a hundred with a named result for every pair that played.
- Can we play over a video call?
- Yes. Share the board on the call and each person still plays from their own phone.
