About Jingled & Judged
Jingled & Judged is four rounds of Christmas mischief on one shared screen, with every player on their own phone. Naughty or Nice opens the night: each of you is caught red-handed in a Christmas misdeed — regifting a candle back to its giver, eating the cookies left out for Santa — and you get exactly one sentence to plead your way onto the nice list before the room votes for the smoothest talker.
The Secret Santa hands one player the gift: a Christmas moment they must act out in silence or draw on their phone while everyone else guesses which of five near-identical options it was. Who Signed the Card puts anonymous answers to Christmas questions on the board — worst gift ever received, honest opinion of eggnog — and asks the room to name who wrote each one, while Santa's Elf slips fakes into the pile. Sleigh or Coal ends it in sudden death: two Christmas choices every few seconds, one hiding the coal, until only one player is left standing.
Every round opens with a card explaining how it is played, and it waits until every phone is ready — or until the host starts anyway — so nobody has to have played before and nobody has to explain rules over a party. Two to sixteen players, ten to twenty minutes at the host's pace, and the pools of misdeeds, gifts, and card questions are big enough that "Play again" keeps dealing new material.
How a room starts
- Pick a game from the catalog — every occasion has its own room.
- Put the game's board screen where everyone can see it: a TV, a laptop, or a shared screen on a video call.
- Players scan the QR code (or type the room code) in their phone's browser. No app, no account.
- Play — everyone answers, votes, and scores from their own phone.
How to play Jingled & Judged
A short narrated walkthrough of the whole game, from joining on your phone to the final scores: watch the how-to video. It is one tap from inside the room too, so a first-time group never needs the rules explained.
Where Jingled & Judged fits
You will find it in the Christmas room, alongside the other games picked for that occasion.
Common questions
- How many people can play, and how long does it take?
- Two to sixteen players, ten to twenty minutes depending on how many rounds the host runs and the pace they set. It still works at the small end — below four players Santa's Elf writes extra cards so the guessing round holds up.
- What do we need to play?
- One shared screen everyone can see (a TV or laptop) and a phone per player. Phones join with a room code — nothing to install.
- Is it family-friendly?
- Yes. The misdeeds are cosy Christmas crimes like eating all twenty-four advent chocolates on December first, and everything else is what your own group types in. It plays fine with kids, grandparents, and everyone between.
- Can someone who is not in the room play?
- Yes, over a video call. Every phase happens on phones plus the shared screen, and in The Secret Santa a remote player just chooses to DRAW their gift instead of acting it out, so the room still sees everything.
- How much writing is there?
- One-sentence pleas in Naughty or Nice and short answers to Christmas questions in Who Signed the Card. The rest of the game is tapping, guessing, and voting.
