About Wild Guess
Wild Guess is an icebreaker for a room where people know each other's names and not much else. Everyone names someone they admire - picked from a catalogue of well-known figures or simply typed in - and writes four true things about themselves plus one lie.
The room then works out who is who across three rounds. The interesting part is that both halves are in play at once: you are matching admirations to people and separating the four truths from the one lie, so a confident wrong guess costs you twice.
It suits a team offsite, a new-starter session, or the part of a company social where nobody has anything to talk about yet. Four to fifteen players, fifteen to twenty minutes, and the answers people write are the reason the conversation carries on afterwards.
The board goes on a screen everyone can see and each player uses their own phone - no app, no accounts, and nothing to install on a work laptop.
How a room starts

- How many people does it need?
- Four at a minimum and up to fifteen. Below four there are not enough people to guess between.
- Do people have to type a lot?
- One name and five short statements at the start. Everything after that is tapping.
- Can I pick anyone as the person I admire?
- Either choose from the built-in catalogue of well-known figures or type any name you like - a colleague, a relative, anyone.
- Is it suitable for a work setting?
- It is built for one. Nothing installs, there are no accounts, and players choose what they reveal about themselves.
- How long does it take?
- Fifteen to twenty minutes across the three rounds.
